After the winning the gold medal in the team finals at the 2012 Olympic Games, the women’s team spent some time talking about it with Bob Costas.

The women won the second team gold medal in U.S. history and first since 1996 on Tuesday afternoon. Browse through a photo gallery from this historic event.

The United States women’s team won gold with a score of 183.596 at the 2012 Olympic Games at the North Greenwich Arena. Russia earned silver with a 178.530 and Romania took bronze with a 176.414. China placed fourth with a 174.430.

I’ve always said my favorite color is GOLD. And today is no different. I am so proud of our Fab Five – Aly, Gabby, Jordyn Kyla, McKayla – you girls EARNED that spot at the top of the podium today and I could not be more proud of our entire team!

WOW. Where can I start? Team USA rocked the house in their first day competing here in London. It was so amazing to see our girls march onto the podium and hear the crowd cheering and waving USA Flags.
